About this spot

The "Sakasa Icho" in the grounds of Zenpuku-ji, Tokyo's second-oldest temple, is the largest ginkgo in the city and a national natural monument. Its branches droop like roots, hence the name; legend says it grew from the staff of the monk Shinran. Free.
