About this spot

A plum village in the hills of western Tokyo. A plant virus forced the old trees to be cut down from 2009; replanting began in 2016, and Ume no Koen park now has about 1,200 young trees of some 150 kinds. The Yoshino Baigo Plum Festival runs from late February to March.
