About this spot
About 1,500 plum trees of some 50 kinds at the shrine of Sugawara no Michizane, who loved plum blossom. On 25 February the Baika-sai festival brings an open-air tea ceremony served by geiko and maiko from nearby Kamishichiken. The plum garden is open in season (paid).
