Cherry blossom is three weeks of it. Flip through the other forty-nine — and watch what's in bloom move up and down the country.
The calendar is the way in. Underneath it sits the ordinary thing — search, filter by month or flower, and open any of the 412 spots.

Toyotomi Hideyoshi held his famous cherry party here in 1598, and about 700 cherry trees still flower over three weeks, from great weeping cherries to late mountain cherries. A costume procession re-enacts the party on the second Sunday of April. Entry is charged (about 1,800 yen for all three areas in spring).
